India has had a complicated social structure. Social, religious, educational and family circumstances have been biased for women and girls since ages. The social vices and discrimination like female feticide, skewed sex ratio, child marriage and negative mindset for girls in the family etc prevalent in the society are barriers for girls and women to achieve their fundamental rights including protection, health and education.
